Here you will find the often used symbols for corrections with an example.
A = Absence of a word = a word is missing.
My sister has A arrived yet. —–> has not
C = Choice of a word. Either the word is wrong or redundant
He Cspoke a speech at the conference. —–> gave/delivered
I ate my Cananas. —–> pineapple
Nous Cexpectons notre directeur. —–> attendons
C Mon voiture n’est pas neuve. —–> ma
F = Form of a word. The spelling of a word or verb is wrong.
(For ex. the marks of the plural or feminine/masculine are missing)
He Fthaught hard about it. —–> thought
Charly Funderstand his point. —–> understands
He Feat it! —–> eats
Ce sont des événements important. F —–> importants
Jean Fest Marc sont gentils. —–> et
O = Order. The order of the words is wrong.
He wants Oto full-time work. —–> to work full-time
Elles veulent Oparler nous. —–> nous parler
P = Phrase (Sentence) is incomprehensible/wrong and must be rewritten.
Charly not understand explanation. —–> Charly does not understand
his/her/their/our/your explanation
Lisa pas ne veut quitter. —–> Lisa ne veut pas partir
T = Tense is wrong in the sentence
I Tsee the film three weeks ago. —–> I saw the film three weeks ago
